2016-2017 Pre-K Data!
So in Pre-K, we typically use three formal assessments in order to show what each student has learned and how much growth they have shown. These three assessments are the Brigance Assessment (fine motor and gross motor), the PPVT (vocabulary), and iStation (letter and content knowledge). Both Brigance and PPVT are paper based assessments that are automatically entered into their student files. iStation on the other hand is a computer based assessment that allows the teacher to see how the students grow each month. Below shows the data from the first iStation assessment in September, 2016 to the final assessment in May, 2017. During the 2016-2017 school year, students were performing at 69% overall in Reading. By May, students were performing at 95% and were at a mid Kindergarten level! Very proud of my Pre-K scholars last school year!
